Opening Saturday August 13th at TheCatBox in the upper gallery, #2 Commercial St:

Arrested Development

This is the introductory show for the new streetlevel space. A multi-media group show, it features art by the first litter of the new collective. Included are: Gregory Ball, Chelsey Braham, Bob Brown, Marlaina Buch, Brent Coulton, Rose Dickson, Rachel Evans, Vince Li, Jay Meyers, and Alexander Walsh.

As TheCatBox is in the heart of Nanaimo's downtown, parts of which are currently being demolished and rebuilt, this show deals with community, habitat, destruction, construction, development, change and the issues involved with these changes.

Thanks to Rick Hine and Jack Ball for making the upper gallery possible.

Opening Saturday August 13th in the lower gallery, 11 China Steps:

Cops and Cars

This is a print and sculpture show by Victoria artist Shawn Shepherd.

Hi Everybody,

Very cool site so far. Gets the information across.

Should we have a email address displayed? I didn't see one. Maybe I'm blind.

I'm going to use the redweed email address for the brochure. Hope it's okay?

Irene
